Dr Lerner describes how a sub-set of (ME CFS CFIDS PVFS) patients may recover with anti-viral therapy: using the drug, Valganciclovir/Valcyte. Valganciclovir is used to treat cytomegalovirus infections or 'CMV'. ME CFIDS CFS patients are known to suffer from HHV-6, CMV, EBV viral infections. Dr Lerner shows an interesting 'slide' showing damage to heart muscle(cardiomyopathy).
